Affordable Housing for Frontline Workers

As the COVID-19 pandemic raised the stakes on Florida’s affordable housing crisis, making it impossible for Florida’s frontline workers to live in the communities they served, Florida Realtors needed a focused campaign to push for legislative relief. Sachs Media built a comprehensive campaign to make the case for affordable housing help for Florida’s Hometown Heroes, engaging a coalition of nearly a dozen statewide organizations representing everyone from firefighters and nurses to teachers and 911 operators.

Armed with public opinion surveys and data juxtaposing frontline workers’ pay with rising housing prices, the campaign leveraged a statewide news conference at the Capitol, a website, and social media with engaging video content featuring hometown heroes telling their stories, hyper-targeted advertising, and content toolkits for Florida Realtor members to use and share.
