Florida Department of Economic Opportunity partners with Sachs to reach hurricane victims in need

In the wake of Hurricane Irma, thousands of Floridians were left with significant damage to their homes and limited access to recovery resources. Sachs Media partnered with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity to develop and execute a strategic communications campaign supporting the launch of the Rebuild Florida program.

Our team implemented a targeted, multi-channel outreach effort designed to reach displaced and hard-to-engage residents across 14 counties. We developed clear, consistent messaging and created educational materials to help homeowners understand eligibility requirements and navigate the application process. To extend reach, Sachs Media built a network of partners including local governments, community organizations, media outlets, and trusted community voices to amplify awareness and drive engagement.

The campaign leveraged digital and social media, news coverage, and grassroots outreach to connect with vulnerable populations, including seniors, low- to moderate-income households, individuals with disabilities, and families with children. By combining broad awareness tactics with hyper-local engagement, we ensured the program reached those most in need.

Over the course of six months, the campaign generated more than 15,000 applications from Florida homeowners which far exceeded the initial goal of 10,000 and accelerated recovery for communities still rebuilding after the storm.

We turn high-stakes challenges into results.
