To answer these questions, our digital media gurus analyzed the most viral Florida news of this week — curated by views, comments and shares — to find out “What’s Trending in Florida News?”

Surprising sights dominated the social web this week, from shocking marine life off the coast of Florida to massive billboards in Times Square to surprises from Dwayne Wade.

While TV stations claimed all ten spots atop this week’s “What’s Trending in Florida News” Facebook rankings, they split the Twitter rankings with newspapers. WSVN 7 News ran away from the pack on Twitter, with several times more social interactions than the #2 spot (Tampa Bay Times).

Public policy consultant, researcher, and writer with substantial legislative, political, and private-sector experience. Extensive experience conducting public opinion research using scientific survey methodology, including experimental design.
