One in four veterans struggle with a mental illness – especially depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injury, and post traumatic stress disorder. As a consequence, veterans are 57% more likely to die by suicide and make up a fourth of the homeless population. Sachs Media was proud to partner with the USDVA to conduct a 2-year communications campaign in North Florida/South Georgia to connect veterans with a Whole Health Coach who could meet each veteran’s unique needs. After testing messages and creative treatments, we created a video testimonial series featuring veterans who benefited from the program, then used digital ads and paid social promotion to target areas with high concentrations of veterans. The campaign exceeded objectives, helping thousands of veterans better manage stress and pain, improve physical fitness, and achieve weight goals through patient-centered care.
