Sachs Media Partner and Director of Public Affairs Herbie Thiele Joins Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce Board

Sachs Media partner Herbie Thiele who oversees the award-winning firm’s public affairs activities for a wide range of clients, has joined the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Thiele, 37, has established himself as a leading communications and public affairs professional at Sachs Media since joining the firm in 2009. Thiele serves the firm’s clients by continually developing a positive rapport with influential leaders in government agencies, media outlets, advocacy groups, community organizations, and strategic partnerships. Under Thiele’s leadership, Sachs Media’s public affairs team has become key counsel for clients in numerous business sectors, as well as political insiders and public officials. 

“Herbie is one of the best in the public relations industry and will thrive in this new role on the Chamber’s board of directors,” said founder of Sachs Media Founder and CEO Ron Sachs, a former Greater Tallahassee Chamber board member. “He has led policy efforts in Florida, in numerous other states, and even at the federal level, achieving countless positive outcomes for his clients. I know he’ll be an incredible asset to the Chamber, which will benefit tremendously from his insights as part of the next generation of leaders.”

Thiele has worked on legislative issues ranging from property insurance and PIP to health care, gaming, and education. In addition to his legislative work in Florida, he has also led efforts spanning multiple states and worked on a wide range of pressing issues at the federal level.

“I’m thrilled and honored to join the Chamber board,” Thiele said. “After working with Tallahassee’s business leaders over the years, I’m looking forward to working more directly with them to help grow our dynamic community and economy.” 

Thiele, a lifelong Tallahassee resident, attended Florida State University. He is now raising his own family in the Capital City, giving him a unique perspective on the community’s needs.
