AAA Unveils New Online Attraction Ticket Portal

One of the most fascinating innovations in recent years has been the Coca-Cola Freestyle – a new-age soda machine that offers more than 100 flavors of your favorite Coke beverage.

Want a Coke?  Have a Coke.

Want a Sprite with vanilla?  Dial it up.

How about a Fanta Zero cherry?  That’s available too.

The “1 tap, many different options” premise is simple, and is giving thirsty customers the opportunity to purchase exactly what they want from a single location.

What Coke has done for the soda-consuming masses, AAA Travel is now doing for Central Florida theme park fans.

Earlier this week AAA Auto Club Group, a collection of clubs across 11 states, unveiled a new online ticket store that will give its 8.8 million members access to discounted admission to the major theme parks in Central Florida – Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World, Legoland Florida and Busch Gardens Tampa – from a single online print-at-home platform.

This “1 storefront, many theme parks” concept is powered by one of our clients – accesso – and lets AAA members purchase and print discounted tickets to any of these attractions without having to visit a AAA branch location.

“Providing discounted attraction tickets is one of the greatest value propositions we offer to our AAA members. accesso’s solution allows us to deliver print-at-home tickets to our members’ homes 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” Jennifer Butler, AAA Managing Director, Business Development, The Auto Club Group. “The new solution epitomizes AAA’s commitment to provide valuable member savings in the most convenient manner possible.”

“We are very excited about the opportunity to work with the most trusted brand in travel,” said Steve Brown, accesso Chief Operating Officer. “Our online tool will seamlessly step AAA members through the wide range of ticket options and special offers from some of the largest attractions in Central Florida while enhancing the club’s ability to sell and market attraction tickets to its members.”

Butler added that accesso’s ticketing platform will also drive efficiencies at the Club’s branch locations.

“A number of our members still prefer to visit our branches for travel planning assistance, and by incorporating this platform into our branches, our travel counselors will be able to offer enhanced service to our members when they visit us in-person as well,” said Butler.

The new online attractions ticketing portal for members is currently available for ACG members in Florida, Georgia, Middle and West Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and then in 2014 roll out to the club’s North Region: Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, Wisconsin; most of Illinois, Minnesota; and a portion of Indiana.
