WaterVentures Lab Visits Tallahassee

WaterVentures™, Florida’s Learning Lab is an interactive, mobile learning lab that educates the state’s youth about water, environmental stewardship and Florida’s eco-system and biodiversity. The learning lab was open to the public during Ocean’s Day at the Capitol, the 45th Annual Springtime Tallahassee event, and Children’s Day.

The learning lab, a customized 53-foot semi-trailer housing several engaging activities, regularly tours elementary schools throughout Florida offering a hands-on look at Florida’s water and conservation efforts. Inside the lab, visitors can get the sense they are in an underwater cave because of how the exhibit is designed to explore the important role aquifers play in Florida’s ecosystem.  The lab also features interactive touch-screen computers that display interesting environmental facts and a game that teaches about the different stages of the water cycle. Visitors are always encouraged to touch, discover and read everything they can while in the learning lab.

The learning lab was created by non-profit organization Crystal Springs Foundation and sponsored by Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water.
