We’re proud to announce that Gainesville-born rock legend Tom Petty has been recommended for much-deserved induction into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame (pending formal approval by the Florida Secretary of State). Our nomination helped the State of Florida add Tom Petty to its artist honor roll.

Every year, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture reviews nominations and recommends inductees to the Florida Secretary of State. This year’s nominees include twelve talented individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts in Florida. Nominees will be inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame in March 2014.
