Sachs Media Wins Top Public Relations Awards from Local, State FPRA

Continuing its history of excellence, Sachs Media was recently honored by the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) with a Golden Image Award for producing Florida’s best virtual media event of 2022 – a virtual reality news conference for Optima Classical Academy, the world’s first virtual reality (VR) charter school. The Golden Image Award was one of several top local and statewide recognitions from the FPRA for the firm’s innovative and impactful public relations programs.

At the 2022 Annual FPRA Conference, Sachs Media received the highest honor in the Virtual Special Event category. The firm produced a groundbreaking virtual reality news conference to launch the Academy, an event that generated significant attention from media outlets and expanded the scalability and opportunity for the future of virtual reality learning.

“We were honored to lead this initiative and deliver outstanding results for a visionary client,” said Ryan Cohn, Sachs Media partner and executive vice president who served as senior strategist for this campaign. “This external recognition and validation by industry leaders is an amazing achievement, and our team is thrilled to have been a part of such a breakthrough event for students across the state.”

Earlier this year, Sachs Media took home an Image Award and a Judges Award at the 2022 FPRA Capital Chapter Image Award ceremony. The two awards in the Public Service category recognized a campaign that truly made a difference in the North Florida region: the Safe & Healthy Big Bend Campaign. This comprehensive multimedia campaign focused on providing the region with unified, positive information about COVID-19 prevention at a time when much of the populace was experiencing COVID-19 fatigue and resenting safety measures. Sachs Media reached out to local officials and government organizations, including Leon County, the City of Tallahassee, Gadsden County, Leon County Schools, and others to forge a partnership for “Safe & Healthy Big Bend,” promoting healthy behaviors to help keep the greater Tallahassee area safe from COVID-19.

“This important campaign was especially meaningful to our firm, as it hit close to home, and we always strive to have a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Michelle Ubben, partner and president at Sachs Media. “We are honored that our successful work was recognized by FPRA leaders as one of the region’s most impactful and significant public relations initiatives of the year.”

Among other top industry honors earned by the firm, Sachs Media was recognized as a 2022 Ragan PR Daily Top Agency,  2022 Top Agency from PR Daily, 2022 Best Places to Work in Florida from Florida Trend, and as one of 2021 America’s Best PR Agencies from Forbes.
