Sachs Media, the state’s go-to strategic communications agency, continually expands its award-winning team of top PR professionals by recognizing outstanding ability, most recently with the promotion of talented communicator Josie Smith.
Smith earned her promotion less than a year after she was hired as a full-time Account Coordinator in May 2021, following a successful internship with the firm. She frequently demonstrated her considerable communication skills and rapidly progressed in her responsibilities, taking on new client accounts with such skill and professionalism that she was promoted to Account Executive by the end of the year.
In her new role, Smith has greater responsibility on multiple accounts in different client sectors including health care, higher education, and government.
“Josie has proven to be an invaluable asset to our team and is committed to excellence in everything she does,” said Michelle Ubben, President and Partner at Sachs Media. “We saw so much great potential in her as an intern, and it’s been a pleasure to see this rising star steadily advance and deliver higher levels of success to our clients.”
Smith originally joined Sachs Media in January 2020 as a public affairs intern, honing her skills in content creation, media relations, and strategic writing to achieve client goals. Before joining Sachs Media, Smith was an account coordinator at RB Oppenheim Associates, where she worked with clients in various sectors including nonprofits, redevelopment, real estate, and more. She also held communications positions at Florida State University’s University Counseling Center and College of Business. Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Florida State University in April 2021.
