Sachs Media Group Wins National Distinction as “PR Firm of the Year” by PR News

Sachs Media Group is honored to have been named the 2018 “PR Firm of the Year” by PR News, the highly respected national industry journal. The PR News Platinum and Agency Elite Awards are bestowed annually on firms and individuals producing the nation’s most outstanding communications initiatives.

“We’re honored to be named PR Firm of the Year by PR News,” said Ron Sachs, founder and CEO of the firm now in its 23rd year. “It is our top priority to provide our wonderful clients with unmatched quality, expertise, creativity, and outcomes –– so this award is a great reflection on our team’s commitment to excellence in all that we do for every client and campaign.”

Sachs Media Group was chosen among firms throughout the U.S. of similar size all judged on their innovation, client growth, retention, and culture. Sachs Media Group is routinely ranked as one of Florida’s and America’s leading independent communications companies. Prior honors bestowed on Sachs Media Group include being named top public affairs PR firm in the Southeastern United States (and 7th nationwide) by O’Dwyer’s industry journal and one of the top two U.S. firms for nonprofit public relations services by Bulldog Reporter.

Twice this decade, the firm received the top honor for best public relations campaign in Florida awarded by the Florida Public Relations Association. Described by team members as dynamic, fun, and family-like, it is clear to see why the firm maintains a 91 percent employee retention rate. Sachs Media Group’s client retention rate is also strong, with a large roster of clients engaging the firm for five or ten years. The firm has recently represented respected organizations including the American Chemistry Council, HCA, Carnival Corporation, Lyft, Pfizer, American Cancer Society, Ben Crump Law, Sonny’s BBQ, The Florida Bar, and Farm Share.

A few highlights of the firm’s work from the past year:

  • Educating Floridians on the once-every-20-year convening of the Constitution Revision Commission (CRC), Sachs Media Group conducted in-depth research, uncovering valuable insights that led to the development of Protect Florida Democracy: Our Constitution. Our Rights. Our Courts. This highly successful public education program delivered more than 68 million advertising impressions, garnered thousands of social followers, and contributed to doubling awareness among voters of the role of the CRC.
  • Positioning Farm Share as a leader in the hunger relief conversation, using its deep roots with Florida farmers to tie positive stories with Farm Share’s messaging about food waste and hunger.
  • Informing American adults about swimming hygiene best practices through the Water Quality & Health Council’s annual “Healthy Pools” campaign.  In partnership with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and National Swimming Pool Foundation, Sachs Media secured national outcomes in prominent outlets including The New York Times, Today.com, Men’s Health, Weather Channel, Popular Science, Forbes, and many more.
  • Highlighting important conversations on social justice issues for Ben Crump Law by raising Attorney Crump’s national reputation through dozens of high-profile interviews with outlets such as CNN, MSNBC, and TIME Magazine.
