This year, for Children’s Week at the Capitol, Sachs Media Group coordinated a series of op-eds by board members, in which they shared their unique experiences with Florida Healthy Kids and the importance of children’s health care to them. The articles were placed in more than 10 newspapers and online publications around Florida, including the Tallahassee Democrat, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald, Tampa Bay Times, Jacksonville Business Journal and Panama City News-Herald.
Sachs Media Group also generated dozens of ideas for an interactive booth for Florida Healthy Kids at the Capitol for Children’s Day on January 26, and the day’s culminating event — a well-attended reception hosted by Florida Healthy Kids for community leaders and lawmakers. The event served to encourage active discussion and to instill a sense of urgency for affordable children’s health insurance for all families.
Throughout this week, Sachs Media Group helped Florida Healthy Kids make a statement on a statewide scale, calling upon lawmakers, parents and community leaders to remember every child deserves access to quality health care. The timing of events coincided with the Corporation’s quarterly board meeting in Tallahassee, where board members and staff reflect on the success of past efforts and evaluate the best ways to continue protecting Florida’s children in the coming year.
