Telling the Florida brand story

Research and analysis on perception leads to interesting findings and new opportunities.


Florida Chamber of Commerce leadership wanted to better understand how the state of Florida was viewed by its residents and visitors. The Florida Chamber of Commerce engaged our Breakthrough Research Division to uncover the truth about how people perceive the Sunshine State in order to better tell Florida’s positive story.


The Florida Brand survey, completed for the Florida Chamber Foundation, surveyed 910 Americans and 538 Floridians to discover how people inside and outside the state view the Florida brand, as well as to better understand the state’s perceived strengths and weaknesses. Analysis focused on identifying areas of opportunity for telling Florida's story and raising awareness about the state's business and cultural resources.
