Provide Florida League of Cities members a way to receive effective and comprehensive guidance for dealing with communicating before, during, and after a crisis. In addition, make sure the guidance is relevant to cities of all sizes and capabilities.
We launched and branded FLCityGuard, a service to help cities deal with the inevitable crisis. Through FLCityGuard, our firm held training events including tabletop exercises, panel discussions, and other programs to educate cities and their mayors about how to handle a crisis in this fast-paced, media-driven world.

Crisis Communications Workshops
At daylong training exercises, Florida League of Cities members participate in a crisis simulation led by Sachs Media Group. This hands-on training prepares members to effectively communicate with the media and key audiences when bad news breaks.
One-hour educational webinars offer information about different crisis-related topics, such as messaging or how to effectively use social media during a crisis. These webinars provide tips for handling tough questions and tough situations.

Our firm designed and developed a website – flcityguard.com – brimming with articles and video examples created to help cities plan, prepare for, and respond to any crisis. Article topics range from tips for building relationships with the media before a crisis to the power of social media during a crisis to the do’s and don’ts of crisis communication.
